Question:
What did you focus in the offseason on?
Answer:
This off-season I focused on lower body because I need my legs to be strong throughout the year. I also focused on keeping my tendons healthy around my shoulder, elbow, and forearm.
Question:
What do you like most about this Marlins team?

I love how when I go into the clubhouse I see a lot of smiles. Everyone is always happy, and that is what I look for in teammates. Everyone is together and we are going to stay together all the way through.

Is it an exciting time to be a Marlin with the the new stadium set to be ready for next season?

It is an exciting time to be a Marlin. This is the last year in the Sun Life Stadium so we want to leave the stadium with good memories. If we finish well this year, next year will be even more exciting when we start playing at the new stadium.
Question:
What are some of your keys to success playing in the big leagues?
Answer:
To be successful in the big leagues you have to go focus on a lot of things. You always have to be good teammates with the people around you because it is a team sport and everyone works together. You have to be positive and show people how happy you are to be there by working hard. You have to do whatever it takes.
Question:
What was it like getting a chance to be part of the Home Run Derby?
Answer:
It was great because we were all supporting each other and proud to be raising money for the Girls and Boys Club. It’s a fun competition with friends. I went in thinking that I was going to try as hard as I can and keep my eye on Cabrera and Ortiz.
